Coffee is either 1,Rubustica or Arabicca. 2, there is None caffeinated & caffeinated. Addicted or None addicted. 3, what you ad to your coffee also change it and can be good or bad .
Coffee is very good for you if fresh ground (not instant/processed). It can be laced with pesticide though so opt for organic. Its full of antioxidants, activates autophagy (cell rejuvenation), helps detox the liver and is a great pre biotic for the gut. Its unbelievably addictive though!
Not really sure where this guest got his information from, but melatonin is created throughout your waking hours and depleted during sleep. It never just shuts off like a switch. You are always creating it. Also to answer the caffeine question. You will get the same benefits from coffee caffeinated and not caffeinated. It is not the caffeine that gives the benefits, otherwise soda would have jumped on the benefit bandwagon long ago. The less acidic the coffee the better as well. This can be changed via processing the beans both before it reaches your home, and in your kitchen with the right knowledge and equipment. This is why the smoothest beans cost a bunch of money. The ones they find in the monkey poop are the best because they have been through the stomach of the monkey. The monkeys have an enzyme that break down the outer layer of the bean which is where most of the acidity comes from. Sounds weird but people pay over $500 a bag of beans.
Smoothness of coffee has nothing to do with the caffeine content. Melatonin needs sun, not waking hours, but at night gets to work so you can sleep, that's why u take Melatonin to sleep at night (which it doesn't really work that's a diff subject). Soda has 1000 shit so the ratio 1000:1 good will not make it good.

The caffeine is not what provides benefits hence drinking decaffeinated coffee to still get the benefits. As far as Melatonin, again I did not mention waking hours at all. Melatonin is created all the time no matter if awake or asleep. Even when it is being used, it is still being created at times like napping during the day. You also don't need the sun to create Melatonin. If that where the case people who work on Submarines would never be able to sleep. They go without sunlight for days if not months at a time. No artificial Sun has been developed yet that I am aware of. As far as the Soda is concerned, everyone knows it is bad for you, yet the companies find any sort of health benefit as a marketing scheme for consumers. If there was any benefit whatsoever the company would capitalize off of it. They already do it with Coke zero and alike. Taste the same as regular coke but is zero calories so it's better for you. If you look into that scheme you will find it is actually worse than normal coke.
